Rhona

My newest friend – Rhona I did indeed adopt an animal from Farm Animal Rescue Sanctuary and here she is. I love her already. To adopt an animal yourself or donate to the sanctuary, please visit them at www.farmanimalrescue.org.uk, ABOUT RHONA: Rhona made an impression with the bullocks at our Sanctuary, visiting them and communicating across the fence. It was soon that FAR learnt about her grim fate;...

Farm Animal Sanctuaries

There are many animals suffering because many people choose to eat their bodies after they have been killed, many have poor quality of life, often in pain and anguish, being kept in unsuitable conditions, given no affection and eventually being slaughtered, often not even in one clean attempt but in a unacceptable manner resulting in a painful and harrowing death yet some (so very few) are saved from this pain....

Mouton Cadet

Here is a great choice for vegans, a mid priced, full bodied french Bordeaux from Baron Phillipe de Rothschild. This wine is one of the most popular in the world so it is a huge bonus that it is also suitable for vegans. Cheers.

Lentils have always been a favourite of mine so I am so pleased they are so good for you and so versatile! Being high in fiber, protein, iron, calcium, zinc and B vitamins, lentils are an imprtnat addition to a vegan’s food cupboard.

Kellogg’s Special K & Rice Krispies Treats

Some of Kellogg’s products contain dairy and I had read that many UK Kellogg’s contained animal derived vitamin D3. I found a response from Kelloggs which may be useful to vegan readers regarding these two items which contain animals and I am researching the vitamin D3 link so will be back to you shortly on this one! Til then, maybe skip the snap, crackle and pop!
