LA RIOJANA ECOLOGICA SHIRAZ FAIRTRADE - that’s the Norwegian name for this wine, produced by La Riojana, Famantina Valley, Argentina. Normally Argentinian Red wine would not be my first choice yet I am trying to keep an open mind about wine now I know what is in it! Things are leading me to believe that wine produced without fish stomachs and eggs taste much better! This wine is delightful. Smooth with a soft taste of berries and a lovely aroma. Thunbs up from me and it’s fairtrade too, made by a co-operative. A sound choice!
I used to eat meat, wear leather and basically had the same contempt for animals which I see on a daily basis everywhere I look. I became a vegetarian after seeing newborn lambs prancing around and not wanting to be responsible for them being murdered. I became a vegan when I was thinking of breastfeeding my son and finally understood what the dairy industry is all about. What I know now, I did not know then. No longer living in ignorance, I have no option but to write this blog.
