Shouting about the disgrace of our society. We need to face upto the fact that killing animals is just unacceptable. Do something worthwhile today. Be vegan.
I am with my children this morning. I have given them milk and fed them with the nutrients they need to grow and thrive. I have played with them, encouraging learning and allowing them to explore the world around them in a safe environment. We have shared physical contact, they have climbed on me and each other and that bonding is just as important to me as it is my children. We have a strong bond and would be lost without each other. Losing my children is the worst thing that could happen to me.
Yesterday I read of a human infant who was murdered by a stranger. It played on my mind and still does. I cannot stop thinking of the mother of this infant and her pain. Losing a child is so tragic. To any mother.
I used to eat meat, wear leather and basically had the same contempt for animals which I see on a daily basis everywhere I look. I became a vegetarian after seeing newborn lambs prancing around and not wanting to be responsible for them being murdered. I became a vegan when I was thinking of breastfeeding my son and finally understood what the dairy industry is all about. What I know now, I did not know then. No longer living in ignorance, I have no option but to write this blog.

Brings a tear to my eye. My children are my whole world and not only do i empathise with the animals that lose their babies as my worst nightmare would be for me to lose mine. But i am motivated by my children to make the right decisions in life for their health and education about food.
