Animal Protein – why your body doesn’t want it!

I just have to share this article with you about why animal protein is harmful to our body. Thank you Owen for writing such a comprehensive nutritional article – vegans always need as much knowledge as we can as we are often attacked for our views and for no reason whatsoever, have to defend our compassionate choices.

EU change to Milk Quota

The EU will lift quotas on milk production. I read this today with sadness. More milk, more cows being impregnated, more calves being killed, more suffering, more pain. This sentence actually brought a tear to my eye. Speaking before the deal was reached, French Agriculture Minister Michel Barnier said he would “not allow the milk quotas to be scrapped without accompanying measures, precautions being taken”....

A Non Vegan Partner

Here’s a question…and its a biggie….what happens if I make the choice to be a vegan and I am with a meat eater? This is a question that comes up a lot. Often it can be difficult to explain to a meat eating partner that you need to change the way you eat and often a partner does not understand that now you are aware of the suffering you cannot actually do anything to change your mind back...

Is the contraceptive pill vegan?

As a vegan, I am very careful about the products I choose to buy. It alarmed me when I did become a vegan, just how many bits of animals are in products you just would not think of. I had the food covered and after a lot of detective work, think I have this pretty much under control. When I realised that there were bits of animals bodies in flavouring, E-numbers and so on I became pretty good at reading labels....

Reindeer

Ever eaten or thought of eating Reindeer meat? Not only are Reindeer beautiful but they are gentle creatures, often I see herds moving through the countryside near where I live. They move in families and you will often see mother, father and children roaming the land. I love to stop and watch them whenever I can and it pains me so much when I see Reindeer meat in the store here. It is true I feel this way about...
